WHAT WILL THE WORLD LOOK LIKE AFTER COVID-19?

The part about following its natural course refers to a Chinese proverb that has become something like the slogan of the so-called chaos theory, developed by the mathematician and meteorologist Edward Lorenz in the 1960s, together with other scientists, which tries to answer the following question: Is it possible for a butterfly flapping its wings in Sri Lanka to cause a hurricane in the United States? If we interpret and adapt the chaos theory and butterfly effect to the current situation we are globally experiencing, this new outbreak of coronavirus, it could lead us to give the answer that an event, regardless of how unlikely it may seem, does not mean it is impossible for it to occur.

2020 has brought previously unseen challenges upon humankind. A virus that, due to globalization, spread at an unprecedented speed, stormed the entire planet and there is only one thing that can stop it as it is now: a vaccine. And as I wrote;  if you worry about the long-term consequences (which no data indicate for now after having tested the vaccine on tens of thousands of people and vaccinating already millions), you might want to wait out. But then we’ll be in lockdown for years.

Over the past months several lockdowns have taken place. We adopted new habits, learned and worked through videoconferences, made social distancing an everyday habit and masks a fashion item. But we all hate these, don’t we? So once we have a chance to end the pandemic, I’d say we should go for it; and with several trustworthy and reviewed vaccines available worldwide, the race for vaccination has begun.

It happened in the blink of an eye, to put it metaphorically.  Suddenly, the virus had made its home in the body of more than hundreds, if not thousands, of people in different countries around the world. The coronavirus that started in the city of Wuhan, China, according to official sources, on December 31, 2019, which is where it got the name COVID-19, followed its natural course, ignoring borders, customs and tariffs.

Looking at our real experience, films about the end of the world no longer seem to be so fantastic. The desire to prepare your home for natural or man-made hazards is no longer surprising. There will not only be a garage near the house, but also a hopper, or at least a fortified “minus” floor with a pantry for food and water.

We’ll also be saying goodbye to one of the main trends of recent years: open-plan spaces, with the entrance, living room, dining space and kitchen united. In the aftermath of the pandemic, the entrance area will be separated so that we can leave our shoes, clothing and belongings on the street, rather than carry dirt into the living quarters.

Proof of this is that the disaster is already upon us, shaking our political, social and economic gears as never before. So how can an invisible virus be defeated when it does not seem to produce symptoms in the people who carry, or carried, it the most? Furthermore, even though some insist with all their might on denying the obvious, the truth is that the virus does not care about social class, race, gender or other labels that divide us. COVID-19 has once again put Darwin’s hypothesis of “survival of the fittest” in style, which does not necessarily have to correspond to the strongest. In fact, it is Trump’s America that is the country that has been hit the hardest by COVID-19, and Italy and Spain have the highest number of deaths in Europe.

During quarantine, most are forced to work from home. There will be people who will, on the first day after the quarantine, race to meet colleagues and drink that office coffee. But there will be those who will not want to return to the office.

More attention will be given to the arrangement of the workplace at home. Many organization or institution will change, with the place to work at home no longer a desk with a parody of an office chair and a lamp, slotted somewhere in the corner of the living room or under the stairs. Now it will be a completely separate room with large windows, blackout curtains and comfortable furniture. It will be technically equipped and sound-insulated.

At the time I thought the comparison was apt. It captured the biblical sense of shock that many of us felt in the face of such a sudden, extreme, and swiftly accelerating crisis. We “have been coasting along for more than half a century,” he remarked, and all at once “we are facing the fragility and vulnerability of the human situation.”

The global COVID 19 coronavirus crisis is showing the world that the path we had taken for health crises was not correct. Political leaders only support health researchers when health disasters occur, with deaths, thousands of affected people, and momentous economic consequence for the proper functioning of society. They do not respond to health researchers’ requests for financial support when they apply for financing to prevent what is taking place today.

What will the world look like after COVID-19? Many of the problems we will face in the next decade will simply be more extreme versions of those that we already confront today. The world will only look significantly different this time if, as we emerge from this crisis, we decide to take action to resolve these problems and bring about fundamental change.

Just my own point of view, if you like it, share for awareness. thanks.

I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
